Marcus Fizer Can Still Play Ball

Maccabi Tel Aviv is stacking the deck for its Madison Square Garden showdown against the Knicks this fall. Marcus Fizer, the former #4 overall pick and 2005 NDBL MVP, will join the team’s already potent lineup. Last season Fizer played for Polaris World Murcia in the Spanish league, and his 18.9 ppg would have won the scoring title if he played in one more game.

Fizer isn’t the only not-quite-NBA-worthy player who has recently made a big move. Kareem Rush is back in the NBA after signing a contract with the Pacers. Last season Rush played in the Lithuanian League and the Pacers are hoping he can be the sharpshooter the team need.

Finally, and I’m not sure how this is possible, Nikoloz Tskitishvili is back with the Nuggets and will play on their summer league team. Tskitishvili’s agent has to have some sort of superhuman powers. I can’t fathom how he continuously manages to get NBA teams interested in his most undesirable client.
