Bobby Petrino’s Scarlet Letter
Bobby “My Contract Was In Dog Years” Petrino didn’t exactly leave the Falcons without telling his players. He was kind enough to write them a letter concerning the situation—a letter the Atlanta Journal Constitution had no problems getting their hands on. I’ve done even better. I have Petrino’s original draft of the letter, complete with corrections.

DeAngelo Hall, Alge Crumpler, et al: can talk about Petrino quitting on them, but how about their pathetic showings on theier last two MNF appearances, (only ATL games I’ve seen this year), once they got more than a TD down, they all seemed to quit on him. I think he was in WAY OVER HIS HEAD, in this job and he should have finished the season , but the team has been mailing it in ALL SEASON LONG. I may be biased being from Oregon, but how come Joey sucks, but Chris Redmond looked horrible as well, but he was just rusty. Grow up Falcons, MV7 aint comin’ back any time soon, Deal wit it.
